Okanagan International Military Tattoo
Last weekend in July
Kal Tire Place – Vernon, BC
This is the kind of tattoo with dozens of dancers, drums, bands, bagpipes and kilts all on a single stage.
A musical tattoo is a demonstration of military drumming, piping and skills. It’s called a ‘tattoo’ because when the British Army was fighting in Belgium 300 years ago, soldiers were called in from the pubs each night for curfew, or Doe den tap toe, Dutch for ‘Turn off the tap’.
The expression evolved—to tap-too and then tattoo: an exhilarating showcase of military bands, choirs and skills as well as the sounds and dances of today’s finest performers from around the world.
You can join the Aberdeen Club to support the tattoo – enjoy all the benefits! Premier seating at the Okanagan Military Tattoo, VIP reception before the event, discounted ticket pricing for your guests and so much more!.
